Raised and educated in the UK, Val’s pursuit of her passions has led to the development and success of her own hotel interior design firm in England and later a new  hotel cosmetics business in Australia, which today enjoys international success.

 “Serendipity”, Val Harding’s successful collection of botanical personal care products, can be found in each of the ten suites at Villa Howden. Serendipity was created and designed by Val exclusively for the finest hotels in Australia and is now available internationally. The name “Serendipity” reflects Val’s personal philosophy including the importance of honouring life’s ”happy discoveries”.

Val’s most recent “happy discovery” – the acquisition and restoration of Tasmania’s newest luxury boutique hotel –  has now provided a natural and organic next step in her journey and is the perfect first step in a journey of discovery around Tasmania.

Recently appointed hotel manager, Brian Walsh looks forward to greeting you to one of the 10 luxurious suites with exquisite landscaped gardens on the shores of the North West Bay, fine dining and a unique and secluded ambiance for your next relaxing getaway or exclusive event.

Brian’s expertise has developed over 27 years in the hospitality industry in management roles with Stamford Hotels, the Gold Coast International, The Heritage Hotel and more recently at Hadley’s Hotel.
